On Integrity

"Integrity is doing the right thing when no one is looking."  I have heard and recited this quote often, though I am not sure where it originated nor to whom credit should be given.  I have tried to live my life by these words, but I must admit I am not perfect. I have often said that my honor is the one thing that no one can take from me.  I have to give it up of my own free will.

I have committed myself whole heartedly to the rebuilding of the fashion and apparel industry in the Puget Sound region.  While everyone I talk to agrees that it needs to be done and that now is the time to do it.  However in the recent economic climate generating the revenue to put on the caliber of event I would be proud to put my name on has been challenging at best.  My honor and integrity however will not allow me to forsake this endeavor.  ECFW will either succeed or be my own personal Spruce Goose.  I have faith it will be the former.

For better or worse when I say I'm going to do something I will do everything in my power to see it through and honor my word.  It may not happen in the time frame originally planed, but rest assured if I make a promise I keep it.  I promised one of the women I was romantically involved with a new Lexus and another an Artists Studio.  While I may no longer be with these women a promise is a promise and I intend to honor them when the means to do so present themselves. I'm quite certain the bulk of you will not understand this, but for me its a matter of honor.
